KDU is the top university with the highest number of international students in Sri Lanka, at present. We have a rich international community, following our undergraduate courses, representing many countries around the world.
If you"re moving to Sri Lanka from overseas to start your postgraduate studies, we"ll support you through every step. We can collect you from Colombo Air-port and take you straight to the university. We can also help you settle into your new accommodation. We organize a orientation programme for our international students, including information sessions, tours of the campus and city, and social events. Your safety will be looked after by us during your stay in Sri Lanka.
If you are an international student, you"ll need a visa to study in Sri Lanka. We have a dedicated office to facilitate obtaining the entry VISA to the country followed by the resident VISA for your stay in Sri Lanka.
We have well maintained hostel facilities for our students. Our goal is to make feel your living here like home by, by providing you with comfortable accommodation with standard facilities. You can request on-campus accommodation, with or without meals, at a reasonable price, if are an international postgraduate student at KDU.
The FGS is situated in Ratmalana, premises of KDU main-campus. It is a less-busy town in the Colombo district, more of a residential area, which will provide you a quiet neighborhood, and acceptably low cost of living. You will have access to restaurants, banks, main bus-rout etc., within walking distance. You can also feel safe and secure during your time here.
