Master of Business Administration in E-Governance

The Master of Business Administration in E - Governance programme of KDU aims at identifying and fulfilling the requirements of the changing role of technology in administration. The Program is to prepare the participants for successful planning, implementation, and development of E-Governance initiatives. Moreover, it enables the participants to build collaborative networks with other stakeholders of those initiatives. It has been designed in accordance with the Sri Lankan Qualifications Framework (SLQF) of Quality Assurance and Accreditation Council of Sri Lanka (QACC), the Ministry of Higher Education is equivalent to SLQF 10, which covers 60 credits including a research component of 15 credits. It has gone through a thorough review by a panel of senior academics and professionals from universities/institutions in Sri Lanka, ensuring a high academic standard to facilitate the participants to complete MBA in E-Governance within two years while in service. The main objective of this programme is supporting the public sector organizations in their e-Government initiatives by providing specialized knowledge in IT, management and e-governance.

Eligibility Criteria

A Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or Engineering degree from a recognized University accepted by the Faculty and approved by KDU, 

OR

Any other recognized degree in a relevant field approved by the Senate together with minimum of two (02) years post qualifying executive experience in a Government/Private sector organization 

OR 

A Diploma in relevant field (Science) with minimum of five (05) years post qualification executive experience in a Government/Private sector, 

OR

A Professional Certificate as accepted to the BoS, FB/FGS and approved by the Senate, with minimum of Seven (07) years post qualification executive experience in a Government/Private sector, 

OR

An Associate Membership, Graduate-ship (as appropriate) or equivalent from a recognized professional institute as accepted to the BoS, FB/FGS and approved by the Senate, with minimum of three (03) years post qualifying executive experience in a Government/Private sector organization,

OR

Is a Commissioned officer/Gazette Police Officer with minimum of ten (10) years post qualification executive experience in the services.
