Does your research need ethical clearance?
Any research involving intervention of human participants, collection of human tissues, collection of sensitive data, or animals should undergo review of ethical concerns in the conduct of the research before commencement. It is important to find out if your MSc, MPhil or PhD research project needs the clearance from ethics review.
KDU has established ethical clearance committees; one specifically handles health related research projects (Medical Ethics Review Committee of KDU). The other handles all other research projects needing ethical clearance (Non-Medical Ethics Review Committee of KDU).
